I bought this almost exact style of jean from Ross last year, and they were half the price at Ross. i didn't realize they were the same until they arrived. I like this jean but I bought the lightest wash color which was too light. When you look at me from behind I look completely flat but I think that's due to the color. These are cute jeans but no need to spend twice the price on Amazon when you can get them at Ross! Plus the ones at Ross were more flattering.I followed reviews for my height and weight, but they are too small. Pic is true for color and distressing. I got my 5'9 200lbs bottom heavy self into a size 12 but had camel issues and barely got it over my bottom. The zipper feels a little iffy. I'm going to try a 14Edit: got a 14 (see pics) and the camel issue is gone, the zipper and button are fine, but still short in the crotch and doesn't fit over my bottom, the waist band is barely over my crack. I really do like everything else about these jeans. The front pockets are real deep pockets!The fit, comfort, and quality exceeds expectations, however I wish they would were more of a pure black, as pictured. The distressed areas run a little more grey than I was hoping for. Overall, though, one of my favorite pairs of jeans.These jeans fit so perfectly that I definitely want more of them! So comfy! They were true to size for me, accomodating curves and all without being too tight. For reference, I'm 5'6" & 140-145 lbs, and I got a size 10. The waist was just high enough, without even a hint of muffin top. Stretchy denim was very soft without being too thin, and super flattering for my backside, too.I was concerned that the holes might end up in areas I wouldn't want skin exposed, but they were placed appropriately. Also worried that the holy spots might cause unsightly protrusions of skin when I sat down, but since the threads in each distressed area also had a nice elasticity, this was not the case at all, as they stretched in a way that even accommodated my knees without digging into the skin.So far, I'm super pleased with these jeans and would definitely recommend them. The only test they have yet to pass is how they'll hold up or change after laundering them, but I plan to wash them inside out in cold water, hang to dry completely, and stick them in the dryer for a little while only if they feel stiff or scratchy.Great quality and super comfy, but because these pants have a decent amount of stretchiness to them, I personally would order a size down next time to get the snug fit I was looking for and let the stretch conform to my hips and waist. Instead, the size I have now has room inside the butt area that I cannot fill as of now with my current body type. I ordered a size 16 based off the recommendations but I feel like a 12 or 14 would have been my best fit.For reference to assist others, I am AMAB and am 71in (or 5' 10") and 173pds. My waist is 32", hips are 39".Excellent fitI absolutely love them!! Ordered another pair!!These fit how I expected them to. They are a little large in the waist on me, but that's the way everything fits me. If I went any smaller in the waist, it would be too tight in the calves and the thighs. I just belt them and they're perfect. I'm coming back for a darker pair now.
