I typically wear a size 16 or 18 pant, when I order this brand, I usually go with a 14 or 16. I ordered a size 16 in the black Alina skinny, and they fit perfectly. This is absolutely the ONLY brand of jeans that I buy anymore - great quality, amazing fit, and easy to care for. I have a slightly "pear-shaped" figure and have always struggled with sizing - if I went up one size, the waist is too big, and if I go down one size, the hips/thighs are too tight. I have never had this problem with NYDJ's. I seriously think of these jeans as being sorta magic, whether I'm down 10 pounds or up 15 pounds, these jeans always fit. I highly recommend this brand especially for women over 40 - treat yourself to a pair of these - you won't regret it!Loved it fr covering all my body flaws!!good material and fit but runs large sizes so even tho I ordered one size down it was big so I altered and now perfect and I ordered one size down so keeping fingers crossed to see the fit on smaller one!!but after buttoning it shows a slight bulge which could be avoided maybe with more proper positioning of button!loved this so much that I got it in one more colour in one size smaller and it fit absolutely perfect and once again made me fall in love this fitting in this company!!other models in this company were disappointing!!i always felt that I did not look good in jeans being a little on plus size and heavy thighs but this is absolutely fantastic!!makes me look two sizes small and very smart and perfect looking fr my size!thanks to NYDJ fr creating these!!NYDJ pants are the only ones who fit my big butt and hips, but also my waist. I have a few styles in these, and unlike those, the material on these stretches a LOT, even in the first few wears. So order a size smaller. Also, the material is very soft, and picks up EVERYTHING, so have a lint roller handy. Those quibbles aside, I love these pants!Love the feel of material but runs large. I've worn 16 or 16w for years. This 16w felt one of two sizes too large.I was really looking fr a good pair of jeans that would flatter my body than showing all flaws which I always had difficulty in finding but this was awesome but it was little big tho I ordered one size down so I altered on waist and length and happy!and I ordered one more in diff colour one size down and it is yet to come but one small flaw I found was that the the button area is bulging a little bit after closure!anyways great quality,fitThese are the most comfortable jeans I think I've ever owned. I just wish more colors would go on sale for this particular brand, so I could buy more. I lucked out with these, as they were on sale for only $28.00, but only in this color. Other colors were in the $90 - $120 range, and these amounts, sadly, are way out of my price range. Oh well. I'll just keep checking back to see if they go on sale in a different color.I read all the reviews that said, buy a size smaller- so I did. :( And.....they didn't fit! I wanted so badly to love these since they're pretty expensive. I wear a size 16 in every brand- right off the rack. So I figured, ok, I must be a 14 in these. Nope- couldn't even zip them up. Wish I hadn't listened and just ordered the size 16, fairly confident they would have fit like a glove. Unfortunately the size 14's were only $50, but the 16's are $90 so I won't be able to see if they would have fit. Very disappointed. :(PROS: fabric is nice, fit is perfect as long as you order the right sizing.CONS: I have worn/washed the pants (according to directions) once and there is a snag running a line up the leg the size of a pen . The stitching up the inside leg is weird and you can see the lighter fabric underlay.Amazon did a great job of delivering this on time, well in tact, but I am disappointed in the NYDJ quality for the cost.
